Asian Business Seminar Circuit 2012 (ABSC 2012) seeks to expand the horizons and frontiers of research and establish a truly social agenda within the field of business and management.

This program is organized by CUIC-Tan Chong Centre of Asian Management Studies (CUIC-TCCAMS).Centre for University-Industry Collaboration (CUIC) is a centre under strategic collaboration between the university and industry.

ABSC 2012 aims to explore topical issues in the arena of Asian business and management, with aspiration to make Asia as the leader of world business in the 21st Century, by paying particular attention to issues involving technologies, leaderships, consumerism, human resource and green business.

This seminar hopes to provide a platform for academician and business leaders from ASEAN and other parts of the region to share their knowledge, experience and expertise on contemporary issues and challenges face by business entities in Asia.

The seminar attempts to create awareness among participants about the immense potential and challenges for Asian countries to champion in economics, politics, business, tourism, talent management and related areas in technology development in the 21st century.

Target Groups

Potential industry experts, academicians and postgraduate students will be identified.

ABSTRACT GUIDELINES

1. The abstract (Times New Roman fonts, 11 pt, italic), in not more than 200 words, should be explicit and selfcontained.

2. At least five key words/phrases must be provided below the abstract.

3. Local contributors are required to submit two (2) abstracts, one in Malay and the other in English.

FULL PAPER GUIDELINES

1. Manuscripts should be written as accurately as possible and should be typed in double-spacing on one side of an A4 paper with margins at least 25mm.

2. Please use Times New Roman fonts number 12. Each manuscript should not exceed 25 pages.

3. Submission preferably in MS Word file or PDF file. The file name should follow the format of “author-TITLE.pdf”, or “author-TITLE.doc”.

4. The references are to be cited in the text in the authordate format (APA style). A reference list only of works cited, should be provided at the end of the text arranged in alphabetical order.

PLENARY SESSIONS

1. Plenary Sessions are to be interactive sessions during which there are intermittent discussions and Q&A periods throughout the allotted time scheduled for an hour for each slot.

2. Keynote speakers for this session are encouraged to bring handouts, use flipcharts, use PowerPoint slides, create small group discussion, etc. to facilitate discussion and interaction within the group.

3. The purpose of plenary session is to allow speakers to deliver a special knowledge or to get participants involvement in searching for new ideas, possible strategies and solutions for some defined problems/issues.

REFEREED PAPER PRESENTATIONS

1. For refereed paper presentation, all papers must be submitted to the seminar committee for selection and approval. Only selected good papers will be offered to be presenter in the seminar.

2. The presentation must be related to business in Asia region base on sub-topics given.

3. Presentations will be scheduled in a 20 minute time slot, with indicatively 15 minutes of presentation and 5 minutes of discussion.

Paper Presenter – Early Bird RM 1,300 (pay before 31th July 2012)
